The third Mitosaya and Company Non-Alcoholic Study Group, a group that explores the new appeal of non-alcoholic beverages, will be held with the theme of non-alcoholic beer.
On the day, we will be joined by CIRAFFITI, Japan's first brewery specializing in non-alcoholic and low-alcohol beer, located in Yazu Town, Tottori Prefecture . We will be having a tasting of their non-alcoholic beer and they will be talking about the cutting edge of non-alcoholic and low-alcohol beer production in Japan.
The non-alcoholic beer made by CIRAFFITI involves the same brewing process as regular beer. However, because the alcohol content is less than 1%, it is not considered "alcoholic beverage" under Japanese law, and is instead produced as a soft drink.
Let's learn and talk together about the boundary between non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks, and the world of non-alcoholic craft beer.
(The study session will include a tasting of CIRAFFITI's non-alcoholic beer. CIRAFFITI beer is carefully brewed using the same process as real beer and contains 0.5% alcohol. Although it is not considered alcoholic under the Liquor Tax Act, pregnant women, those planning to drive, and those with low alcohol tolerance should be careful not to drink it. You can also participate by simply taking a sniff.)
